In 2000, the most perfect, compassionate, loving an kind
creature found his way into our lives. Since then he has been a
comfort to all the fosters, abused, neglected, and alone rescues
we have brought home. He has comforted hundreds over the
years.

We had to let go of him yesterday and allow him to cross over
the Rainbow Bridge. Although I am sure he will stop half way
and wait to comfort others as they take their walk across.
Words cannot express the loss we feel but are forever changed
and blessed to have him in our lives as long as we did.

MISSION STATEMENT

Thanks for visiting our website. Semper Fi Rescue is an official
501 (c) (3) Non-Profit all volunteer group dedicated to taking in
stray and abandoned dogs in need. It was started by Retired
Marine, John Wippler and his wife (also a former Marine) Lisa
after John retired and they moved from California to Alabama.
We do not have a facility, all our rescues are in foster homes.

In 2009 we started the first Spay/Neuter Transport from
Calhoun County to ALSNC in Irondale. We are the clinics most
successful county now taking about 60 dogs and cats twice a
month for surgery. The program is now ran by S.A.V.E. We
hope to continue to work close with our local community to
promote proper animal care and educate on the importance of
spay/neutering as well as provide them with low cost options.

Our hope is for stronger legislation to make spay and neuter
mandatory until we are a community that can have a no kill
county shelter. We have a long way to go. You can help the
